PULY PATTERN MAKING PROCESS

PULY PATTERN MAKING PROCESS

Casting is one in which the metal product manufacturing techniques melted in melting furnace and then poured into the cavity of the print which is similar to the original form of the product being designed. Print cavity itself can be defined as a place in pouring molten metal into molds. Cavity shape is the same as objects that will be created. Printed cavity is made using a pattern.

The pattern is the molding of stone tools used as a mall for the molding. The accuracy is determined by the pattern of pattern making.

As we all know in this flat almost all foundry industry in Ceper reproduces puly size - a specific size. Of course the process of manufacture requires puly pattern. To the authors provide little explanation of the process of making puly of a certain size with the basic materials of wood materials. Fore indirectly flat Polman students are required to meet the needs of puly pattern in the industry around

In the pattern making section the pattern are designed and prepared as per drawing of the casting received from the planning section and according to the moulding process to be employed.

Calculation of shrinkage, construction detail, and other determined the pattern that produced. The material used also affects the surface of the cavity produced print.

Puly is a wheel for driving the wheel the other functions use the v-belt. Actually puly function and the gear is almost the same only difference apart because puly distance between v-belt usage.

The process of patternmaking
1. Process making pictures to go with what we want
  • Created by designer with into account provisions - provisions that must be considered for pattern making.

2. Learning drawings made by designer
  • making images 3D.
  • Determine pieces - pieces on the image to create a pattern
  • Determine the slope and create a core holder image

3. Prepare tools and materials
  • Calculate the material to be used for pattern making
·        Multiplex
Thick 9 mm
Length 205 mm
Width 205 mm

·        Multiplex
Thick 24 mm
Length 115 mm
Width 115 mm

·        Multiplex
Thick 9 mm
Length 200 mm
Width 200 mm
·        Multiplex
Thick 24 mm
Length 60 mm
Width 60 mm
  • Putty
  • Glue
  •  Pen
  • The tools will be used
·        Radial Arm Saw
·        Sandpaper
·        Files
·        Discander
·        Tape measure and stationery
4. making process part of pattern

  • Part 1

·        This part is the part that will use as a base plate
·        Preview the design patterns on the multiplex
·        Size 9 thickness, length 205, width 205 is formed using a radial arm saw to D = 200
·        And than puree it using Discander
·        2 round plate is drilled with d = 10 to put pen

  • Part 2

• Preview the design patterns on the multiplex(drawn into a ¼ ring)
• Establish multiplex has draw using a radial arm saw
• Blend into ¼ rings
• Files in the ¼ section diameter of the ring using a stingy half-round
  • Part 3
·        This section is a cylinder with the size (D = 200 thick 21)
·        Making picture design patterns on the multiplex
·        The use of radial arm saw
·        Glue two multiplex is then proper with specific size
  • Part 4 & 5
·        Part of this is made to make a stand at the core
·        Preview the design patterns on the multiplex
·        The use of radial arm saw that a cylindrical form
·        Puree using Discander
·        Part 4 & 5 just the same only a different height.

5. Process assembling
·        Installation of parts of the pattern
·        Attach / glue in accordance with working drawings in which a base plate Part 1 and than Part 2 & 3 and then placed on Part 1. Part 4 & 5 posted on part 2 & 3. Installation should conform because of the pattern cylinder and hemisphere pattern.

6. Checking size
  •  Dimensions
  •  Pivot and axis
  •  The slop of the pattern ( given of pattern 2° – 5° )

7. Finishing
  •  Putting at angle pattern so as to form a radius and a part that is less smooth.
  •  Sanding to smooth the entire surface of the pattern.
CONCLUSION

In the process of molding sand use required pattern. The pattern is a shape and size of objects similar to its original shape. Patterns can be made of wood or metal.

In the process of pattern making necessary steps according to the procedure so that no construction is done twice or more.

Accuracy, attention to detail, skill workshops using tool greatly affect the resulting pattern. In order to find patterns that fit with the image.
